Dar es Salaam hosts international communication meet
Dar es Salaam is hosting the Tanzania Marketing Communications Conference 2011 on 24 June. The international meeting will be attended by up to 200 professionals who will listen to experts from Nigeria and Tanzania. The president of Tanzania Jakaya Kikwete is also expected to attend.
With its theme “Tanzania’s Social-Economic Challenges and Prospects: the Inevitable Role of Marketing Communications”, the meeting will be used as a platform to offer viable and improved communication strategies for those employed in government ministries, institutions and private firms. The panel of experts is to examine how developing countries can most effectively implement an integrated approach to communications for the good of their economies.
The conference is being jointly-organised by East African Unique and Customer Passion Point, and will be chaired by Ali Mufuruki, executive chairman of the family-owned InfoTech Investment Group, based in Dar es Salaam. The event takes place in the city’s Kilimanjaro Hotel Kempinski.
